Dr. Deepa P.M.

I am serving as an accomplished Associate Professor in the College of Veterinary & Animal Sciences, with a specialization in Veterinary Epidemiology and infectious diseases of animals. My research focus includes infectious diseases, diabetes mellitus, antimicrobial resistance, biomarker identification, and development of novel diagnostic assay kits for which I was honored with the prestigious 2022 Outstanding Scientist National Award. Beyond my achievements, my role extends to mentoring numerous postgraduate (PG) and Ph.D. students. My commitment to fostering the next generation of researchers is evident in the successful research projects undertaken by my mentees, reflecting a dedication that goes beyond the traditional classroom setting. My impact is also reflected in a substantial publication record, boasting over 50 publications in reputable journals. I have demonstrated adeptness in securing and executing both state and externally-funded research projects, showcasing my ability to lead impactful initiatives.
